Hands down the Dixon Ticonderoga for many reason. The wood to lead ratio was perfect. The colorways with the French's mustard yellow and metallic kelly green, classic also. The eraser was the right consistency as well. Let me know if you can think of another pencil that out does this one.

For a long time NBA centers used to rock kneepads. They were never that cool, and only players that played center wore them. Shaq had them at LSU and early on in his career on the Orlando Magic. Easily one of the worst albums to come out this year, Qtips new joint. Homeboy needs to drop the MIC and stay a DJ. The time has passed him by, and he just looks and sounds old. And on top of it, they (our ny bball squad) got him to sing/rap the NY Knicks anthem. If the Knicks were good, they would've got someone who is in the prime of their career, not 10 years past. The whole video is just comedy, it is so bad from top to bottom. When can I begin to take this team serious again. Let's hope for 2010, when they push for Lebron, Dwade, and Chris Bosh.

This was my squad back in the day. The 1995-6 Kentucky Wildcats coached by, Rick Pitino. 7 of these men in this picture went onto to have NBA careers. They ended up beating Syracuse in the NCAA finals that year. Pitino then went onto the NBA to become the Coach and GM of the Boston Celtics. He basically ran the organization into the ground with one dumbass move after another. Although in his defense he did draft Paul Pierce, who might be the best Celtic since Larry Bird and Reggie Lewis. I can not route for him anymore as he coaches Louisville. But they almost play the same style as his Kentucky teams, full court defense with a lot of 3 pointers hucked up on offense throughout the game.

Back before Zoo York was this mall brand, it was Shut. Shut was founded by Rodney Smith. (Metuchen, NJ). He later turned Shut into Zoo York, which eventually was purchased by Mark Ecko. To make a long story short, the 3 classic graphics from Shut circa early 1990's were the Street Posse, Zoo York, and Shark. I can only find a good quality pic of the Street Posse. I am actually sitting on a deadstock Street Posse board myself. The colorways are red wood and purple hoody guy.

The best video game sports character ever created is Bo Jackson for Tecmo Bowl. This game was hours of fun, especially putting beatings on your friends playing with Bo. He could run, juke, and catch. Many can argue, U0fA is a complete basketball institution, a factory. Numerous players have come from UofA and made an impact in the NBA, whether high profile or role players. Not to mention UofA always had great uniforms to complement their highly powered offense. He has coached for 25 years, made 4 Final Four appearances and His name should always be in the same breathe as: John Wooden (UCLA), Coach K (Duke), & Dean Smith (UNC). Gray's Papaya, has raised the price of its famous recession special to $4.45 for 2 hot dogs and one whipped drink up from $3.50. I remember coming to the city in the early 90's, taking the path from Hoboken to 9th st and walking over to Gray's on 8th st and 6th ave. The move was to ask for it to go. By doing so, you would get 2 hot dogs with kraut and mustard wrapped up in tin foil. The best part was all that for a whopping: $1.95. Man times have changed. I was actually thinking about hitting Gray's the other day, but now I may have second thoughts. You can checkout the NY Times article, and read more on why Mr. Gray had to do this to us.

These spots were done in the early 2000's by Cliff Freeman & Partners for Fox Sports NBA regional. Their were only a few spots created, and I believe they received a lot of industry hoopla and awards. The Knicks spot is my favorite, although all are very funny.

Well now that hated Red Sox have lost. We as Yankee fans don't have to watch baseball till next season anymore. The city of Philadelphia is dying for a championship since 1983. Maybe this year will be their time to shine, or will they lose again to the Tampa Rays. I will only watch this series if the Phils rock their throwback uniforms from the early 80's. If the Phillies do win, watch out the city may burn down. People down there are thirsty for some recognition.
